Nash Hood Ornaments
Charles W. Nash founded Nash Motors in 1916 when he left his position as president of General Motors and purchased the Thomas B. Jeffery Co. of Kenosha, Wisconsin. Charles Nash's slogan was "Give the customer more than he has paid for". Adherence to this slogan enabled Nash Motors to enjoy many decades of success marketing to middle class America, before becoming the foundation of American Motors in 1954.
Nash Motors introduced many models to the American public over its years of existence. Some of the more notable were - Rambler, Ambassador, Ajax, LaFayette, Nash 600, Statesman, Airflyte, Healey, and Metropolitan. Hood ornaments were a prominent fixture on most Nash models.![]() |
