Hudson Hood Ornaments
The Hudson Motor Car Company was
founded in 1909 by Joseph L. Hudson
and seven business associates . The new company's first motorcar - called a 'Hudson' - was delivered in 1910. By the end of World War one Hudson was the world's largest manufacturer of six-cylinder cars. In 1954 Hudson merged with the Nash-Kelvinator
Corporation to create American Motors.
Hudson Motors was responsible for introducing many fine models over the years. Some of the more notable were the - Essex, Dover, Terraplane, Super Six, Commodore, Traveler, Pacemaker, Hornet, Wasp, Jetliner, and Itali. Hood ornaments were a design staple on Hudson cars right up until their demise.![]() |
