Three years later, in 1906 Ford became the number one automaker in the U.S., overtaking , Buick, Cadillac and Olds combined. Ford introduced the famous model T in 1908 and the rest of the story is legendary.

Hood ornaments were a mainstay in the early years of Ford, but by the 1960's very few models still sported them.
