1929 Dodge ConvertibleIn 1914,
brothers John and Horace Dodge left Henry Ford and formed their own motorcar company, Dodge Brothers Inc., to produce what they deemed better automobiles than the Fords of that era. In that first year, Dodge built a total of 249 new cars, and they grew continually after that. In 1928, the Dodge brothers,
and Walter Chrysler merged to form the Chrysler Corporation.

1949 Dodge The Dodge division of Chrysler had many successful models over the years, some of the more notable are - Mayfair, Coronet, Royal, Wayfarer, Regent, Lancer, Dart, Matador, Polara, Phoenix, Charger, Monaco, Challenger. Hood ornaments on most Dodge models phased out in the late 1950's and early 60's.
