Buick Hood Ornaments
David
Buick built his first automobile somewhere around 1900, but the the
Buick Motor Co. wasn't incorporated until 1903, when the fledgling
manufacturer was moved from Detroit to Flint Michigan. By 1908 Buick surpassed the production of Ford to become the
number one producer of automobiles in the world at that time. 
Buick had many successful models over the years, some of the more notable are - Roadmaster, Century, Regal, Wildcat,
Riviera, La Sabre, Caballero, Invicta, Park Avenue, Electra, Skylark
and Opel. Hood ornaments had all but disappeared from most models by the mid
1960's, but the three shield design began to reappear in the 1980s. |
