Bentley Hood Ornaments
W.O. Bentley formed the Bentley Motors, Ltd., in 1919 with very
little capital on hand. The original
company only existed for twelve years - from 1919 until 1931 - when it
became a victim of the great depression. Rolls-Royce bought the assets and
began to produce elegant Bentley automobiles that reflected the Rolls-Royce luxury. In 1998 German manufacturer Volkswagen acquired control of the Bentley name. 
Bentley Motors has made several outstanding luxury models over the years, some of the more notable are - Arnage, Azure, Brooklands, Continental GT, Flying Spur, Vanden Plas, Derby, Mark VI, and Mulsanne. Today hood ornaments are still a fixture on Bentleys, though they are not as ornate as they once were.  |
